Before having an initial meeting to determine if Bourg Builders and Design is the right team for your project
Let's Talk
Before designing, we will discuss what you want for your new home. To start, consider your lifestyle and priorities. You should also collect images that inspire you.
Our team includes an excellent designer, Ashley Bourg, who has over seven years of experience with exterior and interior materials.
Ashley can help you with all the details to make your house feel like a home.
Plan Design
Your next step will be to meet with subcontractors and suppliers to make selections for the interior and exterior of your project.
Our local representatives will ensure that you are in great hands at each scheduled appointment while making these important and enjoyable decisions.
We'll take your plans and send them to our subcontractors, who specialize in your specific needs, to provide you with a realistic bid for your home.
*Please note that you are ultimately in control of your budget. We are happy to guide your decisions and pricing, but the build cost relies entirely upon your design selection.
Contract
Once you're ready to move forward, it's time to write everything down.
We will present a building agreement, review final estimates and timelines, ask for a deposit to get started, discuss everyone's responsibilities, and talk through our builder's warranty.
Finally, we'll also cover any questions you may have before moving forward and breaking ground.
The Build
We'll break ground and begin progressing through the build process. You'll also finish any unfinished selections so we can order materials.
In addition to typical job site visits, we'll have seven central extensive on-site walk-through meetings. These meeting categories are:
- Foundation
- Framing
- Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing
- Trim & Cabinets
- Interior finishes
- Exterior finishes
- Final punch list
*For financial transparency, we have detailed construction draws per the contract; you can expect receipts and invoices on all allowance items.
The Finish Line
As we near completion, we will begin creating a list of the remaining tasks that need to be done. We will review any final details and discuss anything else that must be completed before you move in. Your satisfaction is our main priority!Once you move in, you will be given a "welcome home packet" containing owner manuals, warranties, final paperwork, and anything else necessary.Before the move-in date, we will submit our final invoices, finalize our budget, and request the last payment.Enjoy your new home!
